Is located in the Red River Valley serving the communities of Crookston, East Grand Forks, Ada, Twin Valley, Halstad, Gary, McIntosh, and Fertile. Eta - Linda Allen Serves the communities of St. Cloud and central Minnesota Kappa - Carol Smith & Rachel Burlet Serves the communities of Duluth, Proctor and Carlton. We are key women educator who share a love of reading. We raise money for a local grant-in-aid and assist a non-traditional woman seeking an education degree. We enjoy tremendous, positive fellowship with each other. We are fun! Mu - Kate Pearson Serves the communities of Bemidji, Bagley, Cass Lake, Blackduck, Clearbrook, Northome, Walker, Remer, and Red Lake. We have 120 members meeting six times a year in various restaurants. Our emphasis is on member participation and grants to teachers in training. Pi - Maria Brunet Serves the communities of Faribault, Kenyon and Northfield. Alpha Kappa - Ann Vanvick Serves communities in the north and northwest Twin Cities metropolitan area: New Brighton, Brooklyn Park, Fridley, Osseo, and Anoka. Ours is a small and dynamic membership! Our programs are initiated by "The Reflective Women." Its four units are 1) Composing a Life, 2) Experiencing Beauty, 3) Searching for Truths, and 4) Engaging Communities. We find this method stimulating and enjoyable - a mark of success! Alpha Meta - Dianna Brusven Is Minnesota's newest chapter. This is a state-wide chapter of active members with their own leadership team, dues, meetings and votes on DKG business. Alpha Rho - Toni Chipka and Sue Glennon Serves the communities of Andover, Anoka, Blaine, Champlin, and Coon Rapids. We are a very active chapter. In each of the past ten years, through our fundraising efforts and memorial bequests honoring former teachers, we have given two or three scholarships to young women entering college to become teachers. This year, in addition to hearing speakers and visiting community resources, we plan to continue to offer scholarships to future educators. Alpha Theta - Susan Stokke Serves the communities of Mound, Westonka, and Minnetonka. Our chapter contributes thousands of hours volunteering our time with such things as Guardian ad Litem, Sojourner, MN Landscape Arboretum, MN State Parks, church activities, classroom volunteers, Books for the Blind, historical societies, and various activities with the elderly. Beta Beta - Sara Swan Serves the western suburbs of the Twin Cities. We have actively worked with the World Without Genocide Institute to end human trafficking. |
