It’s not too early to mark the date and plan to attend Minnesota State Organization of Delta Kappa Gamma 2019 State Convention. It will be held May 17-19, 2019, at the Water Street Inn in historic Stillwater, MN. Rooms will be available for 1-4 persons. Each room is restored to return to its historic past. Some rooms overlook the St. Croix River.
Please note that the block of rooms reserved for Minnesota State Organization are only reserved through April 15th.
A Friday evening dinner cruise is scheduled for a two hour trip starting at 6:15 pm on the St. Croix. Menu choices include a prime rib or walleye selection. Cost is under $40. As an alternative for one workshop there will be a Saturday tram ride around historic Stillwater.
Please plan to attend the 2019 Convention in the birth place of Minnesota. Stillwater!!
Registration deadline has been extended to May 10, 2019. You may email your registration to Jeanette Karjala and send your check via snail mail.
Dear DKG sisters,
I am very excited about the many proposed changes to our state organization. One of these is the newly revised bylaws and standing rules. The document is here on our website. It is too large a document to mail in large groupings. Please take the time to look at it. When you do, you will see a lot of red. All of that represents the hard work of Sally Nyhus and Kathy Patton. They have put in hours and hours to create this wonderful document. Notice the bylaws are followed by the applicable standing rule in italics. We will be discussing and voting on accepting these changes at the Minnesota State Organization of DKG Convention on May 18, 2019. There will also be many other proposed amendments that you will want to hear about.
It is very important that you attend this meeting. This opportunity to make your thoughts and ideas know only happens every 2 years. Please come, share your ideas and vote. We need to hear your voice.
See you in Stillwater!
